I've been slacking on writing recently because I've been....reading. I just got into the Wheel of Time series and I have to say that I've read two of the books in my free time (as well as playing Dead Space again) instead of writing the next chapter of the OB story.

However, because of all of this reading I've been getting the idea in my head of a fantasy story I could write. The story has been mulling around in my head for about two years now when I started making a game on RPG Maker with an old friend, but nothing ever came of it. So, I continued thinking on it and I've been refining it and I think that I just need to decide whether or not I want to make it a straight up fantasy story or a nice parody as well as a cool fantasy story. Either way I think I might actually put a lot of effort into it and try to submit it to Tor or something when I feel good about it.

Either way I go, I also have gotten sudden inspiration at work about a short story that I might try to get published in a literary magazine, whenever its next competition is being held (the ending date for the current one is tomorrow and I don't think I can bang out a viable story in that time). It came about from watching the interaction of one of my colleagues with one of the residents. From there I started pulling threads of a plot together and now I'm just stuck with what I want to do with them.


Oh well, anyway I think I'll continue chapter 37 now.
